I can't remember if I had mentioned this already or not, but Paula is one of the lovely ladies I had met at a Christmas party I went to this year in Chicago. She's friends with all of the people that I had been hanging out with over the past several months. She's an airline stewardess and has just recently moved to London for a little bit with her friend Mary.

We have been trying over the past several weeks to get together for a drink or dinner or something. Finally, it happened tonight. We met up in Exchange Square near the Liverpool station at this bar called Corney & Barrow. I had called Chris to invite him to meet up with us since he works 2 blocks from there. And I had also called Ian to see if he wanted to hang out for some beers. So they did. It was such a good time! The girls are so much fun!

We left Corney & Barrow and took the tube to South Kensington to meet up with a few other blokes (men) that Paula and Mary had met a few weeks before. We went to another pub and then out to dinner at this place called The Gourmet Burger. They had loads of burgers to choose from. I picked the Avocado Burger with bacon and lettuce and tomato. It was REALLY big and really delicious. Don't want to go back there, since I can't imagine how many calories I had just eaten.

I finally felt like I was in my element. There's something about having a few girlfriends to talk to. I've really missed that!
